When
you show your fly rod to a world class rod designer it is
with mixed emotions. It's as if that person can give the rod
a shake, a cast and know far more about what you have done
in five minutes than you know yourself about the project after
hundreds of hours of work. And it was with even greater amazement
when after a long silent pause, he looks at you, gives you
a big grin and says "I would buy that rod." YAHOOOOO!!!!!
We already knew our ten weight could throw a 650 grain line
better than the best production rods in the world. We knew
it felt light in hand like many modern 8 weights and in the
right hands casts farther than 130'. But somehow with this
particular rod we needed that stamp of approval. Why? Serious
people fish for serious fish. This rod needs to throw 80'
of line to a cruising rooster fish while your balanced on
the oily, deck of a Panga, experiencing a mixed bout of Montezuma's
revenge and the aftershock of last nights coronas. It needs
quick power, on demand, to get the line to the fish and deep
reserve power to land the fish. This is the rod that people
will take to far off places and use under the toughest conditions.
It is also the rod you will see over and over again in the
family photo album: a big grin, an exotic fish and a Beulah
10 wt.

This rod was designed to fish for the following species: Salmon,
Roosterfish, Jacks, Striped Bass and Blue fish. We probably
left out one hundred other species however you get the point.

DAMN FAST action, fast recovery.

DESIGNED
FOR:
This rod is designed to be used and enjoyed by the expert
angler or professional guide. Because of the fast action it
takes a quicker and shorter casting stroke and performs best
with a well timed double haul. Beginner to intermediate casters
may want to fine tune their double haul with and instructor
to get the best use of this rod.
